My hairdressing career started in 2003, in Serbia. Starting at beauty college, I graduated with the necessary skills and understanding of hairdressing to move into a salon, having gained my qualification. During this time I took on an apprenticeship at a well-known European salon. This provided me with the amazing opportunity to train along side some of Europe’s best stylists and international trainers.
Half way through my apprenticeship I had the opportunity to train under an amazing stylist, who now holds a place on the International Davines Artistic Team. I am forever grateful for everything she taught me. Not only did she teach me to execute my trade with precision, she taught me to remain open to learning, something that has aided me in the progression through my career, a mindset that I can always develop and hone my trade.
I have worked along side Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy trained stylists on many big hair shows and festivals while living in Belgrade. From here, it was only natural that my career would progress to me owning my own salon, during which I learned a lot about my own personal brand of hairdressing.
After four fulfilling years of being a business owner, my husband and I decided that we wanted to travel, bringing us to New Zealand. Since coming to Wellington I have also attained my New Zealand HITO qualification, on top of my Serbian qualification.
